Both you and Anatole have all those lovely flowering Spring shrubs that I just don't have room for...I shall have to enjoy them vicariously.

I have a camellia on order from Italy but it has been on order for six months so I am losing hope. If it does turn u it will be big and established so i don't have to wait years for it to grow up.

My tulips too are well on their way into leaf but all my fuchsia are cut down to the ground. That usually happens round here..I don't mind really as I don't need them to grow that tall.

Excited is not the word for the wait for the tulips....I am like a child at Christmas.

I love this time of year.....all excitement and anticipation.

My garden is noticeably greener, you can see the balance of power shifting between the brown of the garden fence and the green leaves which started as pin pricks a week or so ago.
The Forsythia is nearly ready to flower and the flowering currant too, which is lovely.
Apart from the fuschia, which I didn't expect to survive as it was but will, quite likely, grow back from the base like it did last year; the only casualty so far is the bottle brush plant though it could just be a late starter.
I'm excited about my tulips - looking very leafy and strong.

You have got it all ahead of you Anatole - all comes to he who waits!

I totally agree about the anticipation - sometimes I get so excited about the fulfillment in prospect that it almost happens for me in my mind.

It's a reality game I guess...knowing what those buds promise can make the future real in the here and now.

I always enjoy the garden updates, Wolf. I only have snowdrops blooming still, but the crocuses, daffodils and even a few tulips have begun putting up foliage, and the forsythia buds have started yellowing up. The anticipation is nearly as exciting as the fulfillment, don't you think?
