This photograph is cool in so many ways. It’s cool to be making a movie with Jack Nicolson for sure. It’s even cooler if you’re the director. Cooler still if you’re Stanley Kubrick. However the coolness surpasses the Arctic Circle and Antarctica combined when you are Stanley Kubrick taking a goofy mirror shot and you deliberately make Jack soft-focus.

Oh yes, the movie was quite cool too.

We miss you Stanley Kubrick –  come and haunt us anytime soon.

Only watch this clever video précis of The Shining is you are feeling very brave.  Keep your toddlers away when you view and then only look at it through your fingers when you’re hiding behind the sofa. Enjoy!
