Whitsun Holidays aren’t what they used to be – not necessarily such a bad thing.

It’s the Whitsun Holiday weekend here in the United Kingdom where we all used to dance round the  Maypole, hold fetes and parades, watch those jolly Morris Men and generally have a grand old time –  these events are rarer to find these days but we still manage to have most of them in my home town of Lewes. In case you feel nostalgic for the grand old days these old photographs of English Whitsun events don’t often manage to make it look much fun though.
