You don’t need me to remind you that now we are in December, we are well and truly into that nightmare of nightmares, the Christmas Shopping Season when taste, decency and style all disappear until well into January.

Something bad comes over us and we are gradually sucked down by all the sugary sentimental marketing goo.

We can’t even get enough of Father Christmas himself:

He haunts us on every street corner.

He is everywhere even lying on his back in pub car parks:

Nauseating marketing, terrible music, shopping madness, and forced jollity – it is enough to drive us away to a land that Santa forgot.
