Autumn sounds an elegiac note in my Lewes garden.

My garden, here in Lewes UK,  still has newly blooming roses but there is no denying November when you see the golden leaves on my cherry tree.

It is good to see the berries on my pyracantha too – it is a welcome dash of colour on my darkest wall.

I am surprized though that the Winter flowering jasmine has bloomed so early. These three young plants, all planted in my garden as babies, are coming into their own at last and livening up what could have been a rather dull day.
