I passed Westminster Abbey today, and it is very moving. I'm not sure whether the constant news feed makes us a bit immune to the horrors of war, which may be why some of the funerals are so moving as you see it really hit home.
They fired a cannon here in lewes from the castle which is just behind my house….very powerful somehow – noise after silence.
