My friends the indie band Foxes! have been the subject of a blog or two on here in the past and I am unrepentant about singing their praises especially as one of them, Adam, happens to be my close relative and I am getting really excited because their album is coming out in January. Earlier this year they released an ep called The Panda Bear Song and included on it was their song Sailors! which has always been one of my favourites. Yesterday I noticed that a talented organization called The Subterranean Cumquat Lounge have made a truly delightful video for the song and posted it on Utube. It is a witty and exceedingly skillful marriage of archive film footage with indie pop at its most beguiling. I didn’t want anyone to miss this joyful piece so here it is again – I can’t get it out of my head.
