Those crushed gladioli of Lewes.

They were meant to be an injection of striking colour in high summer but my gladioli here in my garden in lewes in the UK,  were as slow as the seasonal weather this year and they didn’t bloom until it was time for the unrelenting rain of this week to break their backs just as they were bursting into life. Maybe I shouldn’t have planted gladioli in the first place but sometimes a guy has to let his taste slip and engage it a bit of fun just for fun’s sake.
