So I am beginning to get the measure of modern Britain. Is it too late to make some changes in high places?
If not then let’s get ready for library closures, the loss of our woodlands, the demise of public service broadcasting, bankruptcy for our charities and arts institutions, a National Health Service run by the guys who did least well at Med School (the GPs), the withering on the branch of local government services, and, oh yes, unemployment.
Welcome everyone to the Big Society and the political manifesto that no one voted for. Don’t worry about the banks though – I see the bosses of Barclays and Royal Bank of Scotland are going to get their fat bonuses as usual.
Kick us while we're down please!
Heigh-ho!
LOL at the guys who did least well at med school.
i take it you're as optimistic about this stupid idea as i am
Well, that about sums it up. 🙁
Yes Chris – dead right.
